Truck Mechanic-Diesel

In business since 1966, we service Blue Bird Buses as well as Freightliner, Western Star, Detroit, Cummins, CAT, Eaton, Meritor, Allison and DT12 trucks.
*Truck Mechanic (Diesel) Responsibilities:*

* Diagnose, repair & maintain diesel and gasoline engine industrial trucks and buses
* Document repairs using fleet maintenance software
* Conduct road tests as required
* Participate in Company paid training and stay abreast of manufacturer-provided technical updates
* May oversee work of apprentice technicians if appropriate/assigned
* Maintain dealership-owned tools and manuals
* Comply with Federal, State & local regs (hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.)

*Truck Mechanic (Diesel) Qualifications:*
Successful candidates will be or possess:

* 3 years’ exp repairing Class 8 trucks and buses (i.e.: Blue Bird, Freightliner, Western Star, Detroit, Cummins, CAT, Eaton, Meritor, Allison and DT12 trucks, etc.)
* Engine, Transmission, Air & Emissions Systems exp (EPA07, EPA10+)
* Computerized diagnostic skills
* 21+ years' old (for auto insurance purposes) & able to lift 100 lbs.
* Valid/clean driver's license
* Willing/able to obtain certifications (Company paid training)

Preferred candidates will also be or possess:

* Experience specific to above noted vehicles
* Certifications for any of the above noted vehicles
* Current CDL, clear of violations/accidents, accompanied by DOT medical cert
